About the CCINW
The CCINW is a non profit association of leading Carpet, Rug, Fabric Cleaning Firms, and Restoration Contractors from the Northwestern United States and Western Canada. They work together to advance the knowledge and professionalism of the textile cleaning industry. Members of the CCINW are some of the most highly trained and experienced individuals in our industry.

Our association participates with the IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Carpet and Restoration Certification) and the Connections Events which partners 13 regional associations from the United States and Canada for training and educational improvement.

History
In the late 1940's rug cleaners in Oregon began meeting informally to solve problems they had in common. At the same time, rug cleaners in the Puget Sound area were doing the same. These groups then began regular meetings in Chehalis and in 1948 the Rug Cleaners Institute was born.

Over the years the Association has grown to include members who; clean carpets, rugs, window treatments, furniture and air ducts; repair rugs and carpets; and restore fire and water damaged structures. Its territory expanded to include members in British Columbia, Manitoba, Alberta, Alaska, Idaho and Western Montana.

The CCINW maintains an ownership share of the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC), an organization that provides technical training for the industry.
